James Sherwood PhD

James V. Sherwood Ph.D. comes to Amagansett after practicing in Bernardsville, New Jersey. He was raised in Pennsylvania and received his B.A. in Psychology and Biology at Lycoming College in Williamsport, where his father had graduated years prior. He subsequently studied and received his M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Farleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in Fresno, California. Dr. Sherwood returned to the east coast for his pre-doctoral internship at UMDNJ-University Hospital and University Children's Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. He enjoys all aspects of clinical psychology especially working with children and adolescents and has an interest in addiction.
