About the Practice

Shawn Cannon DO - Physician at Southampton Hospital Dr. Shawn P. Cannon prides himself in offering all his patients outstanding medical care in a private and professional setting.

Dr. Cannon believes each patient should be seen by a physician who knows their medical and social history. By wanting to know his patients, the doctor made the difficult decision to close his practice to new patients in April 2001. At the current time, he does accept "families and friends of established patients." History and physical exams are generally scheduled for one hour and are never the first visit. The first visit is a time to establish rapport with the physician and lay the foundation for a mutually respectful patient-physician relationship.
